Thank you to my Secret Senna!

I love books. I'll enjoy reading it. I tried talking my 10 year old into reading it with me. He told me he doesn't like car racing.

I'm such a bad parent. Where did I go wrong?

Not a problem I've ever personally experienced. Maybe you should have that looked at. ;P

Get yourself some mario kart post haste! Then slowly transition him to one of the early Gran Turismo games...and then he will be ours.

Well he used to play Mario Kart. Now all he wants to do is play chess. He doesn't even want to go flying with mommy. :(

Maybe next time I do brakes or something I'll sneak out and loosen the lug nuts first then have him help take the wheel off.

I'd like to take him to a drag race but that might doom cars. He doesn't like loud noises. I think an air show convinced him he doesn't like planes.

Hot wheel cars, preferably ones modeled after real-life cars. The more the merrier. Cheap, and they're fun for any kid. When he asks "Is this car fast?" or "Which of these is faster?" It's over and you won.

His dad collects hot wheels.

I don't even know how many we have!

We have a chest full of them, and probably around 1,000 of them all around the house. Between my two brothers and I, it was pretty much all we wanted in our younger days. For birthday parties, gatherings holidays, etc...it was all we asked for.

We did get him to build a car erector set so there is hope.

ETA: which he then disassembled, modded and reassembled.

Ha, maybe it skips generations. My mom's pretty much afraid of driving.

Sigh. My husband and one of my daughters were laughing at me the other day for watching metal babies take off and land at mke the other day.
